How can I enjoy each day without being fearful of the future?

When we have fears towards the future it really means we have doubts about our capacity to take care of ourselves. We look at the current situations and translate our challenges into possible failure. This creates anticipation-angst. We are getting stressed out by things that have not happened yet. This is a habitual pattern which means that you have formed synapses in your brain that keep you in this thinking mode. You are like a train that is stuck on the rails and cannot turn to another path. So the way to change is to train your mind. There are several ways to do it, but I will teach my favorite technique.

Every night before you go to sleep you take 10 minutes before going in your bed (do this in a relax chair but not in your bed) and start to evaluate your day scanning for moments that you were in this habitual pattern again. As soon as you find an incident you will pretend it is like a movie fragment that you can edit. You ask yourself: how would I react differently if I were in my power? Then you relive the scene again but now like you would if you were in your power, having positive pleasant thoughts and feelings of your future. You do this for at least 3-4 incidents every day before going to sleep. What you are doing in reality, you are building new pathways in your brain (new synapses) that will allow you to react differently in the future as soon as you have build up enough of these synapses. It is the same like learning to drive a car or swimming. When you start out you have zero synapses and as you keep on training yourself you build more synapse until you develop what is called auto-pilot. Now things happen without effort; without thinking and you have created new habitual patterns that support you.
