Divine Worth with Author Kimberly Coots
Today I have the great pleasure of being the host on Day 2 of the Virtual Blog Tour of author Kimberly Coots whose
book DIVINE WORTH – Break the Bonds of Unworthiness and Create the Life You Desire! launches on Amazon on Tuesday May 24, 2011.
Author Kimberly Ann Coots is a transformational life coach, business development coach and speaker. Her passion is to help shift humanity’s consciousness from fear, lack and separation, to love, connection and abundance. Through her coaching, courses, speaking and books, Kimberly is a guide to transforming unworthiness conditioning, stepping into your power and living a life you love. She is certified in many holistic and spiritual modalities. She has been ordained as a Spiritual Peace Minister by James Twyman, is a certified Reconnection Healer by Dr. Eric Pearl and is a Facilitator for the Seminary of Spiritual Peacemaking. As a successful business development specialist, Kimberly also helps entrepreneurs make a profit and a difference.
Yesterday, Kimberly visited Andrea Hylen at http://wp.me/p19NWq-3z where they talked about feelings, our beliefs, unworthiness, feeling our worth and shifting to more compassion.
Today, I’d like to share with you a recent interview I had with Kimberly when I got to ask her some questions on looking internally rather than externally, forgiveness and beyond feeling the pain of truth. I hope you enjoy it.
——-
Roy Martina: Why is it so important to look internally rather than externally?
Kimberly Coots: Seeking fulfilment externally keeps you stuck in the small self (or ego). The small self is constantly chasing the things externally that appears will fulfil you, but this fulfilment is only temporary and is essentially an illusion. This external pursuit of “getting and having” resonates with a “lack” consciousness, causing feelings of separation, dis-connection, dis-content and fear.
Looking within creates the awareness of your gifts and your passions. Using the vehicle of passion to share your gifts creates unconditional joy and fulfilment for yourself (that is not dependent upon anything you have to have), as well as makes a positive impact in the world. For example, in my writing of my book “Divine Worth”, I’m engaging in my passion of writing, sharing my gifts of joy, fulfilment and worthiness, and making a positive impact in the world. This resonates with “abundance” consciousness – creating joy and fulfilment for myself and others.
In short – the importance of looking within rather than externally is the difference between conditional (temporary) fulfilment and unconditional (lasting) fulfilment.
Roy Martina: What is the importance of forgiveness in oneself in order to move forward?
Kimberly Coots: When you hold a grievance toward yourself, you limit your connection with your heart space– your true power. If you’re not centered in your heart space, you are probably not engaged with your passions and sharing your gifts, which create true joy and fulfilment.
Grievances resonate with blame, shame and/or guilt, and these energies foster beliefs of unworthiness, such as, “I’m not worthy of being happy or receiving what I desire because I am bad”. You may sabotage your own happiness because you don’t believe you deserve to be happy.
Unforgiveness of oneself masks the truth of what you really are – the divine energy/essence of Creator. Forgiveness is releasing the grievances that keep your energy stuck so that you can live a life that you love and deserve, and give yourself permission to claim the love and essence that you really are.
Roy Martina: How can one move beyond feeling the pain of truth that is hard to deal with?
Kimberly Coots: In my personal experience, it is in having the courage to ask myself what this pain is teaching me. “What am I learning about myself and life through this pain? How is this pain working in my highest good? What do I choose for myself next?”
Remembering that you are the divine essence and energy of Creator, not a personality, also helps you to see the truth from a higher perspective that supports you in moving beyond the pain.
Another way is to practice embracing everything: the good, the bad and the in-between. Everything is helping us to experience the grandeur of what we really are, even if the small self (ego) doesn’t understand this. The small self-judges and measures everything as good or bad. The heart knows that there is no good or bad – it is all helping us discover our divine greatness.

A Virtual Interview with Michael David Lawrience
Today I have the great pleasure of being the host on Day 2 of the Virtual Blog Tour of author Michael David
Lawrience, whose book Emotional Health: The Secret for Freedom from Drama, Trauma, & Pain comes to Amazon as a softcover mid-June.
Michael David Lawrience is a certified Residential Coach III with over 13 years’ experience teaching teen’s self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-reliance. He has over 35 years’ experience as a holistic health practitioner with a B.A in Sacred Healing and has been a certified Bowenwork Practitioner since 2005. His niche is emotional health with extensive personal experience related to codependency recovery, strengthening self-esteem, healing the inner child, stress management, and meditation which he has practiced for over 40 years.
Yesterday, Michael visited Anne Lyken-Garner at http://www.abloggersbooks.com/2011/04/book-tour-emotional-health-secret-for.html where he talked about recognizing self-sabotage, the causes of self-sabotage, and overcoming the roots of self-sabotage .
Today, I’d like to share with you a recent interview I had with Michael when I got to ask him about the topic of his approach to heal past negative emotions, the role of meditation in emotional healing, and common misconceptions about emotional healing. I hope you enjoy it.
Roy – What is Your Approach Michael to Release Past Negative Emotions?
Michael –As you know Roy emotions that we avoid or suppress become trapped in our bodies, at the cellular level of the DNA. These can be from our own painful experiences or a carry-over from our parents DNA. One way to begin releasing these trapped emotions which also have unconscious beliefs, images, and memories attached to them at a cellular level is Energy Healing. Your “Emotional Balance” is a form of Energy Healing.
We may have no idea of the belief or emotion locked into our DNA, however, when we set our intent, surrender to Divine Grace by whatever name we call it, and allow a skilled healer to hold a sacred space for us Divine Energy flows through them to us. Miracles happen.
I have over 35 years’ experience as an Energy Healer using various methods. Since 2005 I have mostly used Bowen Therapy or as it is also called Bowenwork, which consists of light moves over muscles or tendons to stimulate the body’s natural healing ability.
I see Bowen as an energetic bodywork, which given the consciousness of the healer and the readiness of the client can heal issues on the physical, emotional, or spiritual level.
Some clients get visuals, some feel energy sensations in their bodies, others fall asleep for shorter or longer periods and wake up feeling more relaxed with stuck emotional energies in their bodies released.
In a recent session with a client, she silently set her intent. Before the session she mentioned very low levels of serotonin since childhood and present allergenic reactions. After the first Bowen move, the client felt the energy open and move upward throughout her whole body for the duration of the session.
During the remaining session the client had a sensation of many hands on her and saw a roadway of spiritual beings clearing past energies and previous karmic bonds. Afterwards she felt very relaxed and transformed.
Some people may be unable to relate to the above and as I said earlier different clients experience the healing in their unique way, some more physical and others more spiritual. Sometimes it is quit emotional.
Another recent client came to me suffering agonizing physical pain and little strength in her body. During the session she realized she held her mother’s agony in her own body. The muscles in her body held this emotional agony, which released during the session.
The client got off the healing table a different person and then felt a major cramp in her left hamstring. I did one more Bowen move and the cramp dissolved.
Roy: What is the Role of Meditation in Emotional Healing?
Michael: After over forty years of practicing different types of meditation, I have learned to hold steady when emotional reactions occur and stay present with the emotion and discomfort. I sense in my body the emotion clearing. As the emotion transforms over time, peace or bliss fills the previous places of discomfort.
We usually picture meditation as sitting still in silence. Meditation can also be active, which helps bring repressed emotions to the surface of our awareness.
Many meditative techniques require one to sit still with a silent mind. For most of us, stress in body and mind makes this difficult. Before we can access the stillness within, we need to let go of our tensions.
“Ten Active Meditations” scientifically designed by Osho also known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, an India mystic, who lived in the U.S. in the 80’s enable people to consciously express and experience repressed emotions.
Roy: What are Some Common Misconceptions about Emotional Healing?
Michael: 1. If we leave the pain buried in the past, then it has no effect on us. We believe the pain will be unbearable and we resist wanting to feel the abuse or trauma again. We carry the misconception that suppression is an easier way to cope.
The truth is that it takes more energy continuing to repress the pain than acknowledge, embrace it, and go through it. As the poet, Robert Frost, said, The only way out is through.
2. If we blame others for our pain, we can avoid taking responsibility. With this behavior we can avoid looking at the part we played and avoid healing ourselves. The fact remains we continue to carry the pain and in essence still have responsibility for our actions.
3. We may believe we have a right to continue bearing a grudge towards someone. The person doesn’t deserve my forgiveness. Maybe in the Laws of the Universe all of our purposes involve forgiving and being forgiven.
These misconceptions may be conscious or unconscious.
I hope you enjoyed this interview with Michael and that you’ll check out his softcover book when it is ready at Amazon

How to Begin the Journey Home to Your True Self
Holistic medical doctor and bestselling author Roy Martina, M.D., offers his tips for how to move past self-sabotaging thoughts and find your Divine Essence.
Recently I gave a webinar called ‘Simple Spirituality’ where I spoke about how to tap into your real self and bring spirituality into your life on a daily basis. Before the webinar, we received hundreds of questions from listeners wanting to know how to solve ongoing issues they had with self-belief and self-sabotage. I received this question from one woman on the webinar, which I thought was such a great example of what so many people ask me in my workshops, I thought I would share her question and my reply with you here.
QUESTION:
“Help me to improve my self! I’d like to be better but I’m afraid to be wrong and inadequate! I don’t know WHY and I’m not able to eliminate the voice that “sentences” me!!! It is inside me!!!”
ROY’S REPLY:
The mistake most people make is to want to eliminate the voices in your head. These voices are not you. These are what I call “echoes” from the past. In the first 7 years of our life, we do not have a critical mind to protect us from the environment and everything said will be stored in our subconscious mind. Later, these become like sub-personalities and inner critics, trying to take us down. So the first step is to know this and to disassociate from the voices.
It’s important to know that it makes no sense to fight these voices. When they speak, say gently and softly in your head, “Thank you for reminding me who I am not.” Then follow this with a powerful statement such as, “I am a worthy person deserving a great life. I love and accept myself just the way I am!” There are many other variations you can come up with.
The second step is to know that you are a Divine being made of Divine essence. This is often referred to as Universal Unconditional Love. That is who you are at your core. You can see this Divine Essence expressed through you, when you have expressed yourself in moments of compassion, wisdom, intuition, kindness and love.
You need to remind yourself of who you really are. The best time I found to do this is just before I go to sleep. I recall moments of the day that I was stressed or emotional or negative or aggressive and reacted in ways that did not express my Divine Essence. Then, I relive those moments, imagining that I am in my power and I ask myself how would I react if I were in my power? I relive those moments exactly as I would had I been connected to my Divine Source—fully at peace, not taking things personally, without fear of rejection or criticism, speaking and expressing my truth and stating my boundaries.
By doing this each night, we are training our brain how to act from power, and to respond consciously instead of reacting based on my conditioning and my ego (our fear-based self). In this way, step-by-step, you are returning to being whole again. You are returning to the person you truly are instead of being an expression of the learned conditioning from the past. This is called deprogramming or unlearning. It is the path to return home, to be who you are!
Strength and good luck!
